The Palagio, a 16th-century villa located in the fertile Tuscan hills south of Florence, is more than just a summer retreat for Sting and his wife Trudie Styler. This estate, now available as a luxury event location and exclusive holiday destination, is a true jewel nestled among the vineyards of the Chianti region.
Sting and Trudie's passion for Il Palagio
Not just a holiday home, Il Palagio represents a true passion and sanctuary for Sting and Trudie. Over the years, they have dedicated their heart and soul to transforming this place into a haven of peace and simplicity, hoping that visitors will also feel at home and enjoy its unique beauty.
Winemaking tradition and innovation
Il Palagio's wine production dates back to the early sixteenth century. Sting and Trudie have kept this tradition alive, adopting organic farming methods and renovating 11 hectares of vineyards since 2000. Their dedication has given life to four fine reds: “Message in a Bottle”, “Casino delle Vie”, “Sister Moon ” and “When We Dance.”
Olive oil: a flavor of tradition
The olive trees, an integral part of the landscape of Il Palagio for centuries, have been significantly restored to full productivity. The manual harvesting and cold pressing of the Leccino, Frantoio and Moraiolo varieties give the extra virgin olive oil a pure, delicious and characteristic taste, the result of the exceptional climate and altitude of the estate.
Honey: the sweetness of nature
The Palagio, with its long summers and variety of flora, boasts an active apiary and a colony of indigenous bees. The result is a wide range of honeys with extraordinary flavours, each with distinct floral notes, reflecting the unique combination of plants and flowers of the Tuscan countryside.
